Achievements is where you build your career evidence base — a structured record of your accomplishments, skills, and impact. This evidence powers all other features in KAM Ascend.

Why It Matters

Your evidence base is the foundation of everything:
  • CV Optimizer uses achievements to analyze your fit for roles
  • AI Coach references achievements for personalized coaching
  • Business Case Builder pulls achievements for proposals
  • Performance Review generates reviews from your evidence
The stronger your evidence base, the more effective all other features become.

How It Works

1
Add an Achievement
2
  • Click the + button or “Add Achievement”
  • Fill in the details:
    • Title — A clear, action-oriented headline
    • Description — What you accomplished
    • Date — When it happened
    • Category — Revenue, Leadership, Innovation, Client Success, etc.
  • Use STAR format for maximum impact (see below)
  • Link relevant skills from the skill picker
  • Add impact metrics — Revenue, savings, or other quantified results
  • Click Save
  • 3
    View Achievements
    4
Achievements are displayed in a Category Grid — visual groupings by category. Each achievement card shows:
    5
  • Title and description
  • Date and category
  • Linked skills
  • Impact metrics
  • 6
    Edit or Delete
    7
Click any achievement to edit its details. Use the menu to delete achievements you no longer need.
    8
    Export
    9
Export your achievements for external use:
    10
  • CSV — Spreadsheet format for analysis
  • JSON — Structured data for other tools
  • STAR Format Guide

The STAR format helps you structure achievements for maximum impact:
    ElementDescriptionExample
SituationThe context or challenge”Our largest account ($2M ARR) was at risk of churning due to service issues…”
TaskWhat you needed to accomplish”I needed to retain the account and restore the relationship…”
ActionWhat you specifically did”I conducted a root cause analysis, created a recovery plan, coordinated with 3 internal teams, and established weekly executive check-ins…”
ResultThe measurable outcome”Retained the account, grew revenue 15% to $2.3M ARR, and received a client commendation”
Focus on Action and Result. These are the most important elements. Be specific about what YOU did, not what the team did.

    Skill Linking

Link skills to each achievement to build your skill profile:
    1. Click “Add Skills” in the achievement form
    2. Select skills from categories (Technical, Leadership, Communication, etc.)
    3. Skills appear in your achievement record and feed into Track

    Draft Achievements

If you start an achievement but don’t finish, it’s saved as a draft. Find incomplete drafts in the Draft Achievements section to complete them later.

    Tips for Best Results

    1. Log as they happen — Don’t wait until review time; capture achievements while fresh
    2. Be specific — “Increased revenue” is weak; “Grew account revenue 23% (500Kto500K to 615K)” is strong
    3. Use STAR format — Structured achievements are more compelling and easier to use
    4. Link skills — Build your skill profile over time
    5. Include all types — Don’t just log revenue; include leadership, innovation, and growth
