# Your First Session

> Get started with KAM Ascend in just a few minutes

This guide walks you through setting up your account and logging your first achievement — the foundation of your evidence base.

  ### Create Your Account

  1. Go to [kamascend.com](https://kamascend.com)
  2. Click **Sign Up**
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email address

  ### Complete Your Profile

  After signing in, you'll be prompted to add some basic information:

  * **Current Role** — Your job title and company
  * **Industry** — Your sector (Technology, Finance, Healthcare, etc.)
  * **Career Goals** — What you're working toward (optional but recommended)

  This context helps the AI provide more relevant coaching and analysis.

  ### Log Your First Achievement

  Your evidence base starts with your first achievement. Here's how:

  1. Go to **Achievements** from the sidebar
  2. Click the **+** button (or "Add Achievement")
  3. Fill in the details:
     * **Title** — A clear, action-oriented headline
     * **Description** — What you accomplished
     * **Date** — When it happened
     * **Category** — Revenue, Leadership, Innovation, etc.
  4. Use **STAR format** for maximum impact:
     * **Situation** — The context
     * **Task** — What you needed to do
     * **Action** — What you specifically did
     * **Result** — The measurable outcome
  5. Link relevant **skills** from the skill picker
  6. Click **Save**

    Start with your most impactful recent achievement. You can always add more later.

  ### Explore the Dashboard

  After logging your first achievement, take a moment to explore:

  * **Track** — See your evidence base overview
  * **Achievements** — View and manage your achievement records
  * **Execute** — Check out the action items and goals system

  ### Try AI Coach (Optional)

  Ready for personalized coaching?

  1. Go to **Coaching** from the sidebar
  2. Choose a template (e.g., "Promotion Strategy")
  3. Name your project and start chatting

  The AI Coach will use your achievement data to provide personalized guidance.
