# Revenue Tracking

> Document your financial impact with quantified revenue contributions

Revenue Tracking helps you document your financial impact as a Key Account Manager. Log direct revenue, influenced revenue, cost savings, and retention value to build a quantified record of your contributions.

## Why It Matters

When it's time for a promotion, pay rise, or new job application, you need more than a list of responsibilities — you need **quantified impact**. Revenue Tracking helps you build that evidence.

## How It Works

<Steps>
  ### Select a Quarter

  Revenue contributions are organized by quarter and year. Use the quarter selector to filter your view or add contributions to a specific period.

  ### Add a Contribution

  1. Click **"Add Contribution"** to open the contribution form
  2. Fill in the details:
     * **Client Account** — The customer or account name
     * **Revenue Type** — Choose from:
       * **Direct Revenue** — Revenue you directly closed or generated
       * **Influenced Revenue** — Revenue you influenced but didn't directly close
       * **Cost Savings** — Operational savings you achieved
       * **Retention Value** — Revenue retained from at-risk accounts
     * **Amount** — The financial value
     * **Currency** — USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, or AUD
     * **Description** — Context about the contribution
  3. Optionally link to an existing achievement
  4. Click **Save**

  ### View Your Impact

  The Revenue Achievements section shows:

  * Total revenue by type for the selected quarter
  * Individual contribution cards with details
  * Currency-converted totals (shown in your primary currency)

  ### Quick Add Revenue

  For fast entry, use the **Quick Add Revenue** flow — a streamlined form for logging contributions without leaving the main view.

## Revenue Types Explained

| Type                   | Definition                                                         | Example                                          |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Direct Revenue** | Revenue you personally closed or generated | Closed a \$500K expansion deal |
| **Influenced Revenue** | Revenue you influenced through strategy, relationships, or support | Partnered with sales on a \$1M deal you nurtured |
| **Cost Savings** | Operational costs you eliminated or reduced | Negotiated vendor contract saving \$50K/year |
| **Retention Value**    | Revenue retained from at-risk accounts                             | Prevented churn of a \$200K account              |

## Multi-Currency Support

Track contributions in multiple currencies:

* USD (US Dollar)
* EUR (Euro)
* GBP (British Pound)
* JPY (Japanese Yen)
* CAD (Canadian Dollar)
* AUD (Australian Dollar)

Totals are converted to your primary currency for aggregate views.
