# Business Case Builder

> Generate data-backed business cases for promotions, pay rises, and role expansions

The Business Case Builder helps you create compelling, data-backed proposals for career advancement. Whether you're seeking a promotion, pay rise, or role expansion, it turns your evidence base into a persuasive document.

## When to Use It

Use the Business Case Builder when you:

* Are preparing for a promotion conversation
* Need to justify a salary increase
* Want to propose a role expansion or new responsibilities
* Need a formal document for HR or leadership review

## How It Works

  ### Select Goal Type

  Choose the type of business case:

  * **Promotion** — Make the case for advancing to a higher role
  * **Pay Rise** — Justify a salary increase in your current role
  * **Role Expansion** — Propose new responsibilities or a reshaped role

  ### Enter Current State

  Provide details about your current situation:

  * Current title and compensation
  * Key responsibilities
  * Time in role
  * Recent performance ratings (if applicable)

  ### Enter Target State

  Describe what you're proposing:

  * Target title (for promotions)
  * Target compensation
  * New or expanded responsibilities
  * Your justification for the change

  ### Select Achievements

  Choose relevant achievements from your evidence base. The AI uses these to build your case with concrete examples and quantified impact.

    Select achievements that directly support your case. Quality over quantity — 5-8 strong achievements are more effective than 20 weak ones.
