# AI Coach

> Get personalized career coaching through conversational AI sessions

AI Coach provides conversational career coaching tailored to your goals and evidence base. It uses different coaching personas based on your context, and sessions adapt based on your achievements, revenue impact, and saved notes.

## When to Use It

Use AI Coach when you:

* Are preparing for a promotion conversation
* Need negotiation strategies for a pay rise
* Want to prepare for a performance review
* Are building influence with stakeholders
* Exploring career pivots or role expansion

## How It Works

  ### Choose a Template

  Start by selecting a coaching template:

  | Template                    | Persona              | Best For                            |

  | **Promotion Strategy**      | Promotion Strategist | Planning your path to promotion     |
  | **Pay Rise Negotiation**    | Negotiation Advisor  | Salary and compensation discussions |
  | **Performance Review Prep** | Performance Analyst  | Preparing for review meetings       |
  | **Internal Influence**      | Influence Coach      | Building stakeholder relationships  |
  | **Job Crafting**            | Career Strategist    | Expanding or reshaping your role    |

  ### Create a Project

  Name your coaching project and select a category. The AI assigns the appropriate persona based on your selection.

  ### Chat with Your Coach

  The coaching session uses a chat interface with streaming responses. The AI coach:

  * Draws on your achievement history and revenue impact
  * References your saved notes from previous sessions
  * Provides personalized, contextual guidance
  * Suggests action items you can send to Execute

    Sessions are **ephemeral** — they're not automatically saved. Click "Save Note" to preserve insights for future sessions.

### Confidence Indicators

After each response, you'll see a confidence indicator showing how confident the AI is in its advice:

| Score  | Color  | Meaning                                            |
| ------ | ------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| 80%+   | Green  | High confidence — strong evidence base             |
| 60-79% | Yellow | Moderate confidence — some gaps in context         |
| 40-59% | Orange | Lower confidence — limited relevant data           |
| \<40%  | Red    | Low confidence — consider adding more achievements |

If confidence is low, you may see **remediation flags** suggesting what information would help.

### Extract Action Items

During the conversation, the AI may suggest action items. Click **"Send to Execute"** to add them to your action items list.

## Focus Mode

AI Coach sessions open in **Focus Mode** — a fullscreen, distraction-free interface designed for focused coaching. The sidebar navigation is hidden so you can concentrate on the conversation.

To exit Focus Mode, click the back arrow or go to another section.

## Tips for Best Results

1. **Build your evidence base first** — The coach uses your achievements and revenue data for personalized advice
2. **Save important insights** — Use "Save Note" to preserve key takeaways
3. **Be specific** — The more context you provide, the better the coaching
4. **Follow up** — Ask clarifying questions to dive deeper
5. **Extract actions** — Send action items to Execute to track progress

## Privacy & Data

* Your conversations are processed by AI but not permanently stored unless you save notes
* Saved notes are stored in your account and used to provide context in future sessions
* You can delete saved notes at any time
